Radio Amateurs of Canada reports that Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) Canada has approved the use of special call event prefixes from May 5 to July 2. The callsign prefix for the Northwest Territories will be CK8 - so for example the YARS call would then be CK8YK.  This is a special event call sign for the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III.  This sounds like a field day call...

On 2 January, 2023 at 0000Z, RTL ceased broadcasting on the Longwave (LW) band at 234 kHz from Beidweiler, Luxembourg.  The station started broadcasting on 15 March 1933 and was set up in order to bypass French regulations and result in a commercial broadcasting station in French aimed at France.  The station was commonly known as Radio Luxembourg
